- Monofilament, soft and pliable
- This material passes through tissues easily
- As plaque does not adhere to the PTFE there is little tissue reaction and infection
- A black round body taper cut needle is attached to the thread giving good visibility when suturing and leaves a small non tearing puncture mark
- Patients are more comfortable as there is no hard knot and the suture thread flexibility does not bite into the soft tissues
- This material should be removed in 7-12 days
